FRIENDS FOREVER

First day at Nit Hamirpur,august4,2004.Everything was new and there was a new world ahead. It could have been a very long journey alone had there not been some pepole i call my friends and treasure them forever.Few hours into the college, i met a person, in D middle,Kailash boys hostel.

There was something about this person,a strong charisma and a never ending smile and a very calm face.If you have studied in nith you would have gussed whom i am talking about. Its Vikrant Sadda(Saddaji).

Brought up in a small village in kumarsain,H.P.He has done his schooling from JNV Theog.Four years passed and it never felt as if we were growing,we were kids.Fought, Loved,Laughed and enjoyed every moment theat could have possibly come our way.The one thing i always appreciate about him is that he is always there for his friends and in that case for every. No matter in how much crisis you are, just walk to him and you will find him as if waiting for you with a smile.I still remember everday when i was frustrated i would walk up to him and he would handle all my outburst.Cant imagine college without you.It would have been a totally different story without you.I still remember how i used to force you to do anything, be it from moving in the campus, going to juice bar, riding the bike and the night shifts to bus stand to have "bun-omlate".

One thing i can never forget, that one day in first year when he was training me how to ride a bike and in the end landed up hurting himself,he just jumped off the moving bike. Then there was the inevitable second year in A-ground.It was like a home for everyone staying there and my whole time in the hostle would be spend either with him or sleeping. The phase of expulsion can also be never be forgotten as it brought us more and more close. It developed a very stong bond between us.

Saddaji just remembering the phrase you used ot say in final year,"mujhe lambi gadiyan aur lambi bandiyan badi pasand hai"and "bhaiyon", rest everyone from nith can understand.Next was placements, how can i forget that.We thought of being together but destiny had bestowed us with something else. But still i am happy to see where i am today and where he is.He deserved the best and got the best.I must tell you people that he is a damm good programmer.Remembering things can be never ending and one can continue with all the while.Just one thing i ask god ,to grant him everything he ever wished in his life.

"I shot an arrow into the air,It fell to earth, I knew not where; For so swiftly it flew, the sightCould not follow it in its flight.
I breathed a song into the air,It fell to earth, I knew not where; For, who has sight so keen and strongThat it can follow the flight of song?
Long, long afterward, in an oakI found the arrow, still unbroke; And the song, from beginning to end,I found again in the heart of a friend." -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

HIT WITH TERRORISM-J&K

Jammu & Kashmir lies in the extreme north of the country and is bounded on the north by China, on the east by Tibet and on the south by Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Pakistan. Kashmir is a multifaceted identity, the official language being Urdu and Agriculture being the main stay of the states economy.
Kashmir is considered by many as paradise for tourist both international and domestic.

Kashmir is bleeding to-day because of cross border terrorism. After independendence in august 1947,the Indo-Pak relations have been characterized by suspicion, mistrust and conflict.
Even sixty years after independence, Kashmir remains one of the most dangerous theaters of conflict, as the two nations, now armed with nuclear weapons, remain locked in confrontation.
Since independence the two countries have waged four wars against each other : in 1948,in 1965,in 1971,in 1999.
India takes great pride in its secular credentials, and believes that it is possible for people of all religions to live peacefully and with mutual respect. The presence of a Muslim-majority Kashmir in India is testimony to India’s secularism, and a refutation of the two-nation theory. But the threat is not always from across the border,it lies within kashmir too.The ongoing terrorism these days is a threat to the secularism of the nation.

Recently the issue of land transfer to the Amarnath shrine board in Jammu and Kashmir has snowballed into a full-blown controversy.
the incidents occurning in Kashmir are terrifying and heart moving.Everyday innocent people are being killed for no reason. The issue is becoming more religion oriented. The hatred between Hindus and Muslims is catching fire, and India on the whole is suffering.
There is a reign of terror in Kashmir these days.Barricades of burning tyres mark the roads. There are curfews everywhere.Militants trying to march to the line of control.People not safe in their houses.
Is this is what we call independence?
Jammu and Kashmir is not a problem of Hindu-Muslim relations as many people believe, its a problem of thoughts.
To maintain the integrity of the country such thoughts have to be left far behind and everyone should forget about Hindu and Muslims as two religions and work together and especially think together to make this planet earth a better place to live in.

MBA

MBA, the Master of Business Administration encompasses all aspects of Business Administration.Lot of students, who enroll for the MBA programme, do so for placements alone. Placements, no doubt are important , but are certainly not the only reason why you should get an MBA.Students believe, colleges will use some magical wand and change them, which will help them get jobs in the excess of 8- 10 lakhs a year as a starting salary.
All colleges will do provide; the necessary infrastructure, the best of tutors, and a good library. But at the end, the accountability for your learning is yours!
A lot of students who do not know where their interests lay, in such cases, a MBA programme work very well for such students. Those who have not made up their minds on the areas of their specialization; they have no need to worry. They can begin with the programme and take a decision on the specialization, as they go deeper into the programme. This way they will know their interests and then pursue a qualification in their area of interest. What is most important is that you enjoy your work, if not, the work becomes very boring and you start becoming ineffective.A lot of people just show up for work and they believe they will become successful. They turn up for work today only because they went to work yesterday! They may survive in today's dynamic world, I have my doubts, but they will definitely not be successful.
Here are some of the reasons why people do MBA:-
  1. Start their own bussiness.

  2. Be an investment banker.

  3. Be a venture capitalist.

  4. Be a consultant.

  5. Earn loads of money.

As there is difference between engineering from IIT/BIT/NIT, same is the case with MBA.

There are more than 1400 B-Schools in India, but 95% of them dont really matter, yet the number is increasing. Y? This happens because the growing demand for management education in the country.

According to surveys conducted by various private organisations, NGO's and bussiness magazines the B-Schools in India are categorized into three categories:-

  • Cluster 1- IIM(A/B/C/L),XLRI,ISB
  • Cluster 2- IIM(I/K),IIM-Shilong,FSM
  • Cluster 3-Other colleges like IITD,JLBM,IIPM etc

Cluster 1 and cluster 2 colleges are the best to get in for fresher, but you need to clear CAT,98-99 percentile is required for fresher and for person with 2yrs experience 95-99 percent will get it.

So best of luck n remember

We have just one short at this game called life. And the stakes are too high. You have to make it! If you want to succeed, double your failure rate, because failures are the pillars to success.
